This week we begin the season of Lent. This is a time of reflection and austerity. We purposely take on self-denial as a spiritual practice in this season. This strengthens our spirits and souls for the hard times of life and helps us to focus in on love and healing. This year at the parish we are engaging in 4 practices for Lent.
Practice of Worship Ash Wednesday Worship February 14th 7pm in the Trinity Sanctuary & on Facebook live.
Practice of Learning Rhonda (with an assist from me) will lead us through an exploration of Faith & Facts from the The General Board of Church and Society, the United Methodist Church’s social justice agency. The Faith and Facts cards provide concise information on a number of social issues. On any given issue, they explore what the Bible says, what The United Methodist Church says, some facts about the issue and action steps to address the issue. We will meet in the nursery in the Trinity basement on Sundays at 9am and Tuesdays at 12pm. Sunday & Tuesday class are the same content, so you only need to come to one each week.
