Yesterday I was super sad and I could not figure out why. This was a different kind of sad than just grief and gray skies. Then I realized I hadn’t eaten lunch. As soon as I ate lunch I felt so much better. This made me think about the basics of self-care. Sometimes we need to do deep devotional work or unpack trauma in therapy and sometimes we just need a snack. I have seen some good advice floating around on the internet and I know it’s true. I haveĀ felt so much better after a nap or a shower! So this week be kind to yourself and when you are struggling triage with this info graphic. God is incarnational, with us in the flesh so we need to care for our incarnational beings!
