It is the end of the year and we are looking towards the beginning of a new one. At the parish we are working on drafting a 5 year strategic plan. I have a great scheme for us to read the bible in a year starting right after Pentecost. And we are continuing to come alive in this new, post-pandemic reality. As we enter the new year I am hopeful. We have a stable budget, although we are on a fine edge with our pledges not quite covering our apportionments. We have new people joining us, and we have many others making changes to their lifestyles that mean they aren’t as present as in the past. It’s a liminal season with lots of signs of hope and lots of things that need tending. This is life good and concerning, fragile and full. Here at the parish we have much to celebrate as the new year begins and we have some plans to make as we continue to reach our neighbors, answer God’s call, and try to live in alignment with our faith. – Eilidh
