It’s September and for the Parish that means a return to programing and an increase in activity. We’re returning to our monthly service at Night Strike, where we serve our homeless neighbors under the Burnside Bridge and we’re adding a quarterly project at the Oregon Food Bank, which is suitable for kiddos age 6 and up. Our new book club is launching next week. Participants will read a book very other month and on the off months take a field trip to deepen the learning around the book’s subject matter.  We’re starting off will an exploration of gender and identity by discussing Whipping Girl by Julie Serrano and then next month we’ll go to the Coming Out Monologues.

At Trinity we’ve created table talk questions for the memorial room. This will help us deepen our learning on Sundays and strengthen our connections to one another through faithful conversation.

As the days shorten and the weather chills we take time to connect more fully, love more deeply, and learn more intentionally.  It’s a great season to renew and recenter as life returns to a more regular rhythm for many of us.
