It’s Thanksgiving week so I want to share my gratitude.

I am thankful for the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference for seeing holy potential in Jeff’s and my proposal for SFC.

I am thankful to my colleague Rev. Sandy Storment who caught the vision of the Parish and helped make it a reality.

I am thankful for my District Superintendent, Rev. Erin Martin, who supports our experimentation with wisdom and passion.

I m thankful for Jan & Mel, Janice & Barrie, Scott & Joyce, Caley, Patt, Linda and Tim who walked through the difficult work of closing Capitol Hill UMC and then decided to do the difficult work of being part of a new form of church through the Parish.

I am thankful to Jeff who has been an excellent partner through all the years of this call and for the past 20 years.  I would not still be here, doing this work without him.

I am thankful to Amanda who helped refine the vision for the Parish and convinced me to use google docs.

I am thankful to our daughter Paige who does lots of practical work for the Parish, like setting the table and putting my bulletin in the pulpit.

I am thankful to Jeff B, Chris, Ace, Allison, Kat, & Michael who shaped SFC in our early years.

I am thankful to Jayde who is helping shape the next steps of the Parish with her vibrancy and deep wisdom.  And for teaching me about the awesomeness of canva.

I am thankful to Stacey, Beth, Kat, Sasha, Jen, Allison, and the Natalies who made coffee and conversation into church.

I am thankful to Laura who has brought so much depth into SFC and continues to help improve the Parish with her attention to detail and loving suggestions.

I am thankful to Uncle Bob & Aunt Noemi, Don & Jan, and Russ who regularly give to support the ministry of SFC.

I am thankful to God who continues to fill me with hope as I do the work of the Parish and to guide me in love and peace.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Eilidh
