To kick off women’s history month the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women asked me to write a blog about being a church planter. GCSRW, as we call it in Methodist lingo, challenges The United Methodist Church to commit to the full participation of women in the life and mission of the church. My submission was late, because it was way harder to write about this than I had thought. This is part of why I think its important that we have agencies like GCSRW to help us name the struggles faced by women in the church and to help us all to support one another in growth and change.
