This coming Sunday, August 18th, we will be meeting with our new District Superintendent Karen Hernandez to talk about the ministry of the parish over the past year and going forward.  To help us do this we have been capturing moments since last fall of the ways we have been living into the Bishop’s MILE initiative.
Ministry That Matters
Itinerancy & Location
Lay Ministry Enhancement
Eliminating Racism

To get ready for Sunday I went through our jar of paper slips and it was wonderful to see all the ways we have recognized the work of this community. We shine brightly! From all the lay leadership in worship with the Christmas Musical, to the learnings from our summer readings, and the ministry of place and connection lived out in our 5 year plan I was so moved by all that God has done in and through us this year.

What do you remember from this year as we have shared life and joined in faith together?
Was there a memorable moment in worship?
Someone you noticed who stepped up in leadership?
A lesson you learned that helps you see the world or your faith differently?
A conversation that spurred on your willingness to embrace change with our itinerant system?
A relationship that has grown in our community to bring a new element to your life?

As we celebrate our ministry this week and look ahead we do so with much joy. Our faith community is full of the spirit’s stirrings!

Blessings,

Eilidh
