A creative collaboration between Trinity United Methodist Church and Sellwood Faith Community

Our community exists to embody the love of God in the world because we believe everyone needs a safe space to be loved for who they are already.

To Be Loved

We are defined by our love for one another. Through intentional settings to establish and deepen our connections, learning concrete ways to convey our care to each other, and outreach to those whose abilities may have changed their ability to be present in the community, we are constantly working to make love present in our parish. *Please note that due to current Covid-19 precautions, in-person meeting is suspended, and virtual space and alternative means of connection are provided whenever possible.

Spiritual Formation & Care

The Spiritual Formation & Care Team is dedicated to caring for our members, the neighborhood, and our wider world and supporting our community as we continue to learn and grow.  This work happens by creating fellowship opportunities, connecting with those who can no longer physically attend, coordinating acts of mercy including the Backpack Buddies program, and developing opportunities for education including weekly bible study, Not Your Normal Book Club, and seasonal studies.

Coffee and Conversation

Reflecting on parenting and supporting one another is crucial to a parent’s spiritual health.  Each week a group of moms gets together to talk about the big thing of life and to learn from one another.  We’ve talked about everything from preteen tantrums, to what new practices we’d like to incorporate in our parenting, and how to remind ourselves that we are enough.
